FAST TRIGGER SPEED】CEYOMUR wildlife camera has a lightning-fast trigger speed and a snappy recovery time which is amazingly fast and makes sure that you don’t miss a single bit of the action whether it is fast moving or slow moving. If there’s one thing your wildlife camera needs to be, is weather proof. You could have more megapixels than you know what to do with, but it won’t make a difference if the camera shuts down in a light shower. The A3S’ recovery time is also impressive at 0.5-seconds. In case you are not familiar with the term, recovery time is the amount of time it takes for the trail camera to detect movement, capture an image, save the captured image, and be ready to detect movement again for another picture. So this means that the A3S can take successive photos and videos without having to worry about missing any key moments in between. On top of that, the trigger speed of the A3S is as fast as they come at O.1 seconds, and the camera is capable of snapping 5 continuous images at a time. With a 24MP camera taking the photos, those images are very crisp and clear, both in the day and at night, and the 1080P video running at 30fps is equally impressive.

Sometimes, actually setting up and changing settings on these cameras can be a pain in the you-know-what, but I found the interface on this particular camera really intuitive and easy to use. This is only helped by the large, colour screen, and I never found myself frustrated. Other than when I changed batteries and had to set the time again, that is. There’s a built-in microphone and speaker, as well as a timer and timelapse function. The timer helps with conserving battery power and is relatively straightforward to program – there is a 960 x 240-pixel screen on the unit with a keypad for setting different functions. Trail cams only record for a short amount of time. Often, they record for around 30 seconds but some cameras let you choose how long to record for (commonly between 10 – 90 seconds). The camera connects to your home Wi-Fi network and features a rechargeable battery that should offer around one month of use between charges. Alternatively, Netvue also offers a solar-powered version for minimal maintenance. For best results, the animals need to pass within approximately 5 metres of the camera, as its sensitivity is a little less accurate than some other models as well.

The Nexcam Wildlife Camera records directly to readily available SD cards and is powered by four AA batteries. First of all, the actual specifications on this camera would have been some of the best around only a few years ago, so it isn’t as if they are completely outdated. For example, you will still get some very nice images from the 16-megapixel camera, and the same goes for the 1080P videos. Sound quality on the videos is also better than you would expect, and a 0.3 second trigger time is not something to be sniffed at either. Photos and videos are recorded to a microSD card and you can plug the camera into your computer directly via USB. The camera can be powered by a set of eight AA batteries or via an external power input. Nighttime images weren’t anywhere near as good as the excellent daytime ones, and even during the day, if you have the camera angled wrong, the sun can cause reflections and problems with the images due to the smaller than needed visor on the camera. One thing I really liked about this particular product was that it didn’t drain batteries as much as some of the others, even when playing with the various shooting modes and features. The batteries are really easy to access using the small button that opens the tray too, another little feature that I liked. The A3S can be powered by eight AA batteries or via a 12v input and records straight to standard-sized SD cards. This camera is capable of taking videos of 4K quality, but there are other lesser resolutions available if that’s what you desire. Unfortunately, the sound quality isn’t as good as the image, but that’s fairly common with these cameras. No-glow LEDs are almost completely unnoticeable to animals, so wildlife is unlikely to get spooked when the lights come on and the camera starts recording. The first number should be at least a ‘5’, which means it is protected from the majority of dust ingress. A ‘6’ means the item is dust tight. File Types As the name suggests, the Core DS-4K can record video footage in 4K at 30fps or full HD video at a smooth 60fps. Still images are captured at up to 32 megapixels and it can snap up to six images in a single burst, helping ensure you get that perfect shot. The DS-4K’s powerful 940nm no glow flash allows it to record subjects up to 33m away in pitch darkness.
