Description

The PlayStation 2 had many impressive multiplayer games that allowed for up to four players, such as Shrek 2 and Crash Nitro Kart. Fahey, Rob (March 9, 2004). "Sony launches new PS2 colors in Japan". GmaesIndustry.biz. Archived from the original on September 30, 2007 . Retrieved July 10, 2007. The Quake series is one of the formative shooter franchises for the PC that helped move the genre forward in tremendous ways. The PC was the best place to play Quake during the early 2000s, but the PlayStation 2 offered a satisfying alternative in the form of Quake 3: Revolution. Hi everyone. I'm just wondering if anyone has a list of every 4 player PS2 game? I have a multitap and want to know all the 4 player games. It doesn't matter whether yhey are split screen or co-op just looking to find them out. The Rayman franchise is one of the quirkier platformer franchises out there and it’s become a dark horse for Ubisoft over the years. Despite how the Rayman games have done some inventive things for platformers, Rayman Arena (known as Rayman M in Europe) instead focuses on multiplayer gameplay and allows four people to jump in on the action.

The PlayStation Multitap is a peripheral for the PlayStation. It is an adapter that can be used to plug in up to four controllers and memory cards at the same time in a single controller port. With a second multitap, up to eight controllers and memory cards can be plugged at once. [1] Compatibility [ edit ] I've even tried enabling the multitap on PAD 2 & 1, tried mapping only the PAD 1/2 A/B/C/D, the only ports that works are the PAD 1/1A and PAD 2/2A.Only recognizes button presses when pressing two buttons on the controller, or hitting the controller. Which port the multitap goes into varies somewhat from game to game. Normally, (unless the game supports more than 4 players) it goes in slot 1, with all controllers plugged into it.

Many systems were not designed with multitaps in mind, and so require some clever design to work. Because of this, games usually have to be specially written to include multitap support. Could work, but not necessarily very usable, unless the system offers a way to map buttons. Please let us know! A multitap is a video game console peripheral that increases the number of controller ports available to the player, allowing additional controllers to be used in play, similar to a USB hub or a power strip. A multitap often takes the form of a box with three or more controller ports which is then connected to a controller port on the console itself. The Sony console brought with it many impressive features and what’s largely considered to be one of the best libraries of games for any console. means that we did not get the chance (or the idea) to test it, or that no one let us know that it works. Champions of Norrath and Champions: Return to Arms can be played with 4 players. It's a good example of a game that uses Multitap.

The PlayStation Multitap was originally available in gray (SCPH-1070 U) to match the original console's color, however it was later re-released in white as well (SCPH-1070 UH) to match the colors of the later PS one redesign. Both versions are compatible with the original PS one, as well as all models of the PlayStation 2 prior to the SCPH-70000 series. Both versions of SCPH-1070 will only function with original PlayStation games, while multiplayer PS2 games required a separate multitap, the SCPH-10090. [2] PlayStation 2 consoles after the SCPH-70000 series require the SCPH-70120 multitap, which is compatible with both PS and PS2 software. Also found this video. If you have the wrong version of multitap you can try messing with it and making it work. Try at your own risk though as I haven't done this. A: Not at the moment, but we could support them with a future firmware. Please let us know if you are interested. Gantayat, Anoop (June 8, 2007). "PS2 Gets Lighter". IGN.
