For details of how to dose using the Rapid-Dose format of this product, please watch the Rapid-Dose video. Thank you all for your advice, I have tried to do what I can to resolve the heating issues I have been having. So just to paint the picture I will layout the mistakes I have made as somethings that should have been obvious simply wasn’t to me. A filter will help capture debris, in a collection chamber, and hold it there until the chamber can be emptied. I located the drain valve just outside the property and opened it to drain the central heating system - left it for about an hour We recommend that a filter is installed on all systems, in conjunction with a cleaning of the system, to capture any existing debris. Our range of cleaners is comprehensive and can be choosed based on the scenario that presents itself. See our cleaners and system cleaning-related products here.

If an open system you will have a small (4 gallon) tank in the loft. Turn off the boiler and water feed to the tank. Remove all the water (which is likely to be filthy) from the small (Feed and Expansion F&E)) tank. Drain some more water from the system (3 or 4 litres) and add the chemical to the tank. Turn on the water feed and let the tank fill until it stops normally. Turn on the boiler, and run the system. After a suitable period (max. 4 weeks for X400, say a day for X800) drain the system, refill and repeat two or three times. X300 Cleaner for New Systems is designed to target excess flux residues, greases, and oils in addition to installation debris and sludge. Not only this, but X300 passivates the metal surfaces and helps to prevent copper deposition, a common cause of pinhole corrosion in radiators. Ideally, the product should be added at the first filling of the system. The water should then be circulated at normal operating temperatures for 2 hours before being flushed out. If you are using cold water, leave to circulate for 24 hours. Powerflushing is not necessary when using this product. The system I’m dealing with is not new, but is less than 6 months old Recommended dosage: 1 litre of X300 is sufficient to treat a typical domestic system of up to 10 radiators. Circulate from 1 hour to 7 days for maximum performance. I am also planning on cleaning the magnaclean filter, could this also be part of the root cause to my issue?Apply to: Restore circulation and effectiveness in systems older than six months that have a significant amount of corrosion debris causing poor circulation and cold spots. Prepare for the installation of new components. X800 Fast Acting Cleanershould be circulated, preferably at normal operating temperature, with all valves open and the pump turned to maximum flow for a minimum period of 3 hours or until satisfactory performance is restored.

Scientific research and evidence support the effectiveness of the Sentinel – X800. It has been formulated using advanced technology that specifically targets and eliminates corrosion debris, prolonging the lifespan of your central heating system. Moreover, the Sentinel – X800 has obtained relevant certifications and endorsements, further enhancing its credibility. Customers have also praised the product for its remarkable performance and efficiency, leaving no doubt about its effectiveness. Features and Benefits Restores System Efficiency Apply to: Remove residual flux, grease, oil and manufacturing & installation debris in systems under six months old Yes, the Sentinel – X800 is specifically designed to be safe for use on central heating systems. It targets corrosion debris without causing any harm to the system components.

About the problem

Continues bleeding the radiators downstairs, starting with the closet to the boiler until no water or sound could be heard The Sentinel – X800 Fast Acting Cleaner 1L is a revolutionary solution for maintaining the efficiency of your central heating system. With its targeted cleaning action and fast-acting formula, this cleaner removes corrosion debris, improves system performance, and prolongs the lifespan of your system. Its versatility makes it suitable for both hot and cold systems, while its ease of use makes maintenance hassle-free. Final Recommendation The Sentinel – X800 is a must-have for anyone with a central heating system. Whether you are a homeowner, a property manager, or a business owner, this product will revolutionize the way you maintain your heating system. By ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of your central heating system, the Sentinel – X800 provides comfort and peace of mind to everyone who relies on it for warmth. Pros and Cons I read online that I should have open the bleed valves a bit whilst draining the system. So with this new information I started bleeding the radiators downstairs starting with the one closet to the boiler, which caused more water to come out of the drain valve For large or heavily fouled commercial systems, the cleaning period may have to be extended and the cleaning temperature elevated.

When using concentrate gel, add directly to the heating system either via a radiator air bleed valve, or via the fill loop using the appropriate adaptor and a suitable caulk gun. Its formulation also contains agents to ensure the protection of system metals against corrosion during the cleaning as well as preparing the installation for the addition of Sentinel X100 Inhibitor. Last night I drained 'some' water and added X800 (so it is just plain water and X800 in there at the moment).

Product manuals and instructions: filter and scale protection

What next? Add Sentinel X100 inhibitor, to prevent corrosion and the build-up of limescale, the main causes of central heating and boiler inefficiency. A few examples of the kind of debris that can be found in new systems include copper swarf, flux residues, casting sands and rust. Other contaminants can include greases and stamping oils used in the manufacturing process, sometimes applied excessively. When introduced into a central heating system, these materials can cause problems such as corrosion. It is recommended thatX800 Fast Acting Cleaneris used in accordance with standard cleaning and commissioning protocols such as BSRIA Guide “Pre-Commission Cleaning of Pipework Systems”.
