It's definitely another winner from Allan and Janet Ahlberg, the children will love it and probably want to do it again and again. My kids didn't even know many of the original nursery rhymes but it didn't deter them from enjoying this book. It’s a marvellous way to introduce your child to different characters and of course to introduce them to the game of eye spy - a central feature to the book.It’s wonderful to see that this treasure, first published in 1978, is not only still in print but has been issued as a board book as well as a soft cover, and I’ve just bought the board book for my son’s first child, due in two weeks. Lovely for reading to very young children and getting them to spot the character, and I'm sure that in years to come it'll also be a good aid to learning to read.
