It's a statement that applies just as well today, and complimented by this outstanding piece of film making too, which leaves us under no illusions of man's inhumanity to man. It's also getting a 4K release, but this was my favorite Netflix film from 2022 alongside Pinocchio. If, like me, you are a fan of Remarque's classic work, you will probably be disappointed, or even, like me, feel let down.
