Highlighting both the relevance of Banksy’s street art and how his impact has continued to spread, Planet Banksy brings together some of the very best pieces of art from all corners of the world that have been inspired by Banksy, as well as featuring some of his own innovative, profound and controversial work.

His relationship with the art market is also complex: marked by mocking hostility while being one of the most marketable and most collected contemporary artists. Interestingly it notes that the book was created ‘with the cooperation of Pest Control’ and ‘this is as official and authorised as any Banksy publication could be’. In a culture that is so sated with the idea of celebrity, here's an artist who doesn't want to be recognised so that he can be free to get on with his work. The book features more than 175 images from Bristol plus rare shots of Banksy in Mexico where he toured as goalkeeper for the Easton Cowboys football team and other previously unpublished images. His possible life story has already received extensive literary coverage, while most of his graffiti has been published many times.

They had been attracted by the media hype surrounding an exhibition ambiguously entitled ‘Banksy vs the Bristol Museum’. The other three A6 size pocket books (all published pre 2005) are out of print and only available on the second hand market (the good news is that most of their content appears in Wall and Piece). These never before seen images, shot by Lazarides, document the fascinating and anarchic journey behind the scenes of the mysterious man who has become one of the world’s most renowned artists. Fausto Gilberti brings life, intrigue, and whimsy to the mysterious story of one of the most important contemporary artists of our time.

The contributors are drawn from the academic and art worlds, business and media, with a range of ‘vox pop’ reactions. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Created with the cooperation of Pest Control, the group that manages all things Banksy, this is as official and authorized as any Banksy publication could be.

Banksy to date (February 2020) has only ever published 4 books and they are all fabulous, especially as they are written by him not a narrator and give you some insight into his world and its’s just fun to hear his thoughts about these early pieces and destinations. He studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, and has been part of more than a hundred solo and group exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad. There have been many celebratory books about Banksy, but this is the first non-partisan documentation of the Bristol event and an attempt to assess its local and wider impact.

One of our best selling Banksy books which features photos of Banksy's work from across the globe in hardback. There are so many Banksy works in this book I have never seen before which for me was the real delight in this book. Here’s a round up of all that’s currently out there from the officially sanctioned to the downright dubious.
