About this deal

I don't know, I guess not that much of the book covers this particular theme, so it doesn't necessarily matter. I really wish we could all look at all animals and humans the way she does: she loves all animals no matter how different or deadly they are. Its about kindness to all species on earth, about the connection we all have and as a plus the animals are still animals and not humans in animal form.

This adventure story is great to use with children in KS2 as there are lots of key messages and features that can be explored. This story about growing up, fitting in and listening closely to our furry friends will capture the hearts of all animal-lovers.kann sie deren Gedanken hören und sie dann ebenfalls in Gedanken ansprechen, was zumindest den Peinlichkeitsfaktor ein wenig reduziert. Salaisuutena asia on joka tapauksessa syytä pitää, eikä siitä saa vahingossakaan kertoa kenellekään perhepiirin ulkopuolella. It has plenty of fun adventures, self-exploration, as well as lots of important teachings about humans in general, that Matt Haig shares with his young readers. The fictional world she would most like to live in is the Land of Roar and the character she would most like to be is Evie from the book Evie and the Animals.

Every animal in town is in danger and only by DARING TO BE HERSELF can Evie save her furry and feathered friends. Today I would like to start with a children’s book, that has a lot of Matt Haig’s wisdom in it, and is an absolute must read. Ich fand das Buch sehr schön und es hat mich berührt weil Evie eine so starke und mutige junge Frau ist! That said, Evie is a wonderful little girl with the best Talent one could ever have, safe to say she has The Talent all children would want. This has really got everything, a kind girl, lost her Mum from an early age, has a talent for talking to animals which she is told to keep hidden but that eventually gets her into trouble. This first magical book in the festive series, from number one bestselling author Matt Haig, and featuring enchanting illustrations from Chris Mould – the very true story of Father Christmas. For all these reasons, I think it is a book that is enjoyed by its intended audience (6 upwards but ideal for early KS2) more than adult readers – our pleasure lies in hearing them all shout “oh just one more chapter – pleeeease! So, to conclude, the author didn’t disappoint me with this book, I really liked the messages he was trying to share with children, showing not such a pretty side of some of the humans, as well as incorporating a great adventure with the strong and admirable protagonist. The really skilfully drawn character is Evie herself though – one of the very clever things that Matt Haig achieves with this book is to make it sound like an 11 year old girl.

But when ‘Missing’ posters for cats, dogs, hamsters and tortoises appear outside school, Evie secretly starts using her magical gift again. trigger warnings: loss of a parent (in the past), snakes, spiders and other scary animals, murder, kidnapping. I liked the characters chosen for his book, every single character teaches the young readers something valuable.I really enjoyed this fun and educational book, and I strongly recommend it not only to children but parents as well. Interesting story on how humans are bad for locking up animals and how animals could see humans as sometimes kind too. Nykyisin on ollut melko hankala selata kirjasomea törmäämättä Matt Haigiin ja erityisesti Keskiyön kirjastoon.
