like that really sucks cause i need it for choir and now i need to spend more money for a new cable. If you do have any questions about the microphone, let me know in the comments and I will answer them as soon as possible. If you want one of these because you think they look cool, go right ahead but be aware that your going to have something right in your face the whole time and you can’t move your head a lot, GREAT MIC THO . Glad it came with ear buds cause I needed a pair and these work great for sound and fit comfortably in my ears. Obviously the most important part, and I think I’ve told you before, I’m not an audiophile so take that onboard. i plugged it in and start using it and i cant hear my voice, i have to move the cable around to hear my voice but even then everything sounds like a static tv. There is also a space for a fet that is unpopulated and I suspect these two changes are because of a change to the microphone capsule specification.

so that’s everything you need to get the microphone attached to your PC and in an optimal position in front of your mouth to get recording. I then turned up the levels and boost in the windows settings however that would cause it too pick up too much background noise and I could barely hear my voice. The great thing is, it is an XLR microphone, so if you would like to upgrade to a better interface in the future, you are able to do so. I tried plugging the mic directly into my PC and skipping the phantom power supply, only to achieve the same results. I fiddled with the volume settings in windows control panel to get the sound level just right and the sound itself is pretty good out of the box without any filters except sound suppression it’s very acceptable for an amateur streamer like myself. This microphone feels nice, it’s got weight, but not too heavy looks good, a damn sight better than my rubberised plastic sf-666 did and fits the shock mount beautifully, again something my sf-666 didn’t leading to pops when I kicked the desk. I do not have a computer with a built in microphone input, but I have been told that this microphone sounds terrible when plugged directly into your computers microphone input.

Is there any way to increase the microphone volume without it picking up all of this background noise? Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Pop filter clips right onto the top brace and hangs over the front of my mic to protect and cleanse the sound before it hits.

Scissor arm mic stand, makes it more convenient to record and still work under my desk since it hangs and suspends over, can easily fold away and move to where I want or need it, and it clamps and holds perfectly to my desk. Much nicer to use with traditional headphones for gaming instead of a gaming headset with a mic, the mic definitely sounds a lot nicer than my gaming headset (a top quality headset from 2018) and works good for recording voice and acoustic guitars too. Previously with the sf-666 I had to secure my boom arm next to the PC so the cable could run up the arm, the cable on the NW-700 will allow me to take the cables to the opposite side of the desk before running up the boom arm making it much more convenient when not in use.

Used mine for podcasting and in home studio recording, audio quality is passable, there are better, more expensive options if you want to sound as professional as possible, but if this is just a hobby or you are just trying out podcasting or music production this will help you get a start. This is the circuit diagram of the Neewer Nw-700 condeser microphone that I reviewed in the video above. The extras are great, the pop filter fits onto the boom arm, however I’ll probably end up getting a wrap around pop filter at a later date as it takes up a lot of space particularly when the mic is not being used and pushed under my monitor.
