Description

Just like the original construction, this collectible model is assembled in 4 sections. The process closely follows the way the real tower was built, giving you a unique insight into Gustave Eiffel’s engineering brilliance. Discover true-to-life details throughout, including landscaping, 3 observation platforms, lifts and a broadcast tower, topped off with the French flag. Proving once and for all that price-per-part is a pointless metric, the World Map remains the record-holder for the most pieces in a LEGO set. Whether it is mind numbing, or relaxing is up to you.

A build like no other – Get ready to break records with this LEGO Eiffel tower model set for adults. Standing at almost 5 feet tall and with 10,001 pieces, it’s a collectible piece to cherish forever The Eiffel Tower is split up into 3 main sections, and each box is fully self-contained, so this is technically a “Build Together” set, and you can share the joy of building with up to 2 other friends, which I recommend as it drastically cut down the build time, and mount of repetition by sharing the load. There are 74 (!!) numbered bags in the LEGO Eiffel Tower, which is the most I’ve ever encountered in a set.

This light kit features a sky-high individual count of 289 LEDs. Including 11 Light Strings, that each contain 15 Large Warm White LEDs, creating the classic, dazzling and authentic hourly light show the world-famous landmark is known for - once connected to our Sparkling Effects Board of course! Of course, each section has more of these red and yellow elevators, slowly making the climb up on the inner collumn. NOTE: Bags 51, 54, 57, 59, 64, 67, 71-74 were found inside of the smaller white box (6418327) rather than loose inside of Box #3 (like the rest of the bags). I do not know why they did this only for just one of the three boxes. Bags 41 – 51: Frustum-shaped central module Engage the Remote Control to switch between the Sparkling Light String system and the RGB Light System, or both at the same time for the ultimate Parisian light show!

November 2022: The LEGO Group has today revealed its tallest build yet – the breath-taking new LEGO® Eiffel tower set. One of the world’s most recognisable landmarks, the new LEGO set will immediately transport you to the heart of Paris. The iconic rebel ship deserves a place in the collection of serious Star Wars fans, but it’s hard to dispute that it’s overpriced, given that it has a lot fewer pieces and a much larger price than the Eiffel Tower.medium unmarked bag: containing 8x – 8×8 plates with grille (part 4151) in 199 Dark Stone Grey Dark Bluish Gray. Simultaneously, a total of 14 RGB Strip Lights have been fitted across each of the three levels within the tower, that once assembled allow you to recreate incredible modern colourful combinations - all controllable via the Remote Control included. When I compare it specifically to the Colosseum — the most recent architectually focused set in the Icons lineup (formerly Creator Expert) — The Eiffel Tower wins hands down. While I enjoyed building the Colosseum, and in particular learning more about the building while assembling the model, it is not a very captivating display piece. The circular shape does not catch your eye, and I don’t find myself wandering over to look into the centre of the arena very often. To be fair, both of these sets teach you about the LEGO model and real building as you go.)

That said, on the fist platform, you’ll notice plenty of these repetitive patterns, which aren’t necessarily fun to build, but are really aesthetically pleasing. Dimensions – Model measures over 149 cm (58.5 in.) high, 57 cm (22.5 in.) wide and 57 cm (22.5 in.) deep, making it one of the largest ever LEGO model sets Faithful geometry – This 360° model closely follows the real Eiffel tower’s decor with arches, supports, cross bracing, railings and even a faithful view when looking up from beneath It would be even cooler if the build process mirrors how the actual building was built in some way. I do not know whether a central support structure was employed or not, but I hope we learn detailed information about the real building in the building instructions. While LEGO is targeting a very specific type of customer with 10307 Eiffel Tower (affluent, has enough space and wants a 1.5m Eiffel Tower to build and display), ultimately, I’m glad the set exists. This clearly isn’t the case, and a lot of effort has been put into the building experience to make it quite intuitive, seamless and as pain-free as possible. Completing a smooth base is one of the first milestones in every LEGO Architecture model, which is why I was looking forward to completing bags 9+10. The last four holes in the base are covered by four more 16×16 x 2/3 Road Tiles (part 69958) in 330 Olive Green. The rest of the studded gaps are finally covered with a lot more tiles, and 1×2 tiles in 192 Reddish Brown which I believe are meant to represent park benches.

If you need space, you can also use the set as a very expensive garden ornament. Only half-joking, I think it might look pretty good outdoors. And because it’s so large, it’s also really satisfying seeing this incredible structure take shape in front of your very eyes. The Eiffel Tower narrows as it approaches the pinnacle, and here is the Top Platform, which among other things contains Gustave Eiffel’s apartment, offering commanding views of Paris. Whether or not you decide it deserves the title as the ‘largest LEGO set’, #10307 Eiffel Tower is a massive undertaking that has a towering presence in any room. More than any previous LEGO set, it makes the jump from LEGO model to serious home decor — That’s why the real question for many builders is not about whether this is an impressive LEGO set, but rather if they have a safe and suitable place in their home to display it.The real Eiffel Tower took just over 2 years to build, and was slightly delayed for the opening of the 10th Exposition Universelle (World Fair) in 1889 of which it had been commissioned for, so 15 hours+ of solo building isn’t too bad. When seen in the context of the larger model, you can plainly see that each corner of this module is another parallelepiped, but with a steeper angle than the previous module. I have made the editorial decision to not bother with step-by-step photos for the four corners of the module, since the building techniques are nearly identical to bags 19-28 which we already covered in detail. In the current day, the base of the Eiffel Tower has plenty of fencing and structures (and crowds!), but this version has sprawling open spaces, with mini trees, bushes, benches and lamp posts on the esplanade at the base.
