The best wired gaming mouse, on the other hand, is the Razer DeathAdder V2. The G305 uses Logitech's Hero sensor, an iteration of the fantastic sensor Logitech's best mouses, from the classic G502 down to the G Pro X Superlight. The Orochi V2 is Razer’s answer to the G305 and G Pro X Superlight’s dominance of the egg shaped mouse. And while that's a little disappointing that you can't program damage flashes on your mouse, for example, it makes sense to appeal to the FPS audience more. I wager more gamers are like me; we need a mouse that’s as great for Doom slaying as it is for navigating dense Excel sheets. However, if your job is playing twitch shooters, then this is just perfect. It helps that this mouse has great buttons, a long battery life on a single battery, as well as a great shape for a fraction of the Superlight’s price. As aforementioned, a lower DPI mouse will have more mouse movement for a particular movement on-screen.Regardless of the iteration, a pen mouse does not force you to twist your wrist to lie flat, and given their small physical size it's easy to find a position that minimizes arm movement. Finally, putting the mouse buttons and actions on a pen reduces the strain caused by awkward button placements on a standard mouse.

The only downside to a high poll rate is CPU usage as your computer now has to talk to your mouse more frequently, anything above 500 Hz is pretty indistinguishable and most modern mice allow you to choose your poll rate.
