Aqua Dragons are known for their hardiness and ability to adapt to different environments, but it's still important to be mindful of their health and provide them with proper care to ensure they live a healthy and happy life. Proper feeding, and maintaining a consistent temperature are all important factors in maintaining the health of your Aqua Dragons. Proper feeding is essential for the health of your Aqua Dragons. Feed them small portions of Aqua Dragons food every 2-3 days. Overfeeding can result in poor water quality and can harm your Aqua Dragons. It's also important to make sure the water in their habitat is not too cold, as this can slow down their metabolism and affect their ability to digest food.

The balloon was specially designed so that when it reaches space (commonly recognised as 30 Km from the Earth’s surface, which is three times as high up as planes fly), it will burst. The helium in the balloon expanded to cause the balloon to burst. Our flight reached 32.5km high before the balloon burst and you can see the amazing footage from the space cam video! Aqua Dragons have been living in the sea and in salty lakes on the earth for millions of years including while dinosaurs roamed the Earth! Feed your Aqua Dragons, but not too much. If there is food visible in the water, you probably don’t need to feed them. As a general guide, feeding every 2-3 days would be expected for many Aqua Dragons, and every 4-5 days for fewer. Despite following the instructions to the letter,a few days afterwards I could only see one little guy moving around… and then there was nothing.

I kept the tank going for a further week just in case they were hiding, aerating the tank every now and then, but alas, our dragons had ceased to be. They were ex-aqua dragons. RIP little buddies.

While you’re waiting for your Aqua Dragons to hatch, make sure the water remains at the correct temperature (17-30 °C) and the tank gets plenty of natural light.

Five days after they were ‘hatched’, I could see tiny specks moving in the tank.

In the wild Aqua Dragons (Artemia Salina) still live in salty lakes, they only eat microscopic algae particles, by foraging and filtering along tiny hair like structures on their legs which they move in a rhythmic mantoray motion as they swim. Having had Sea Monkeys when I was young and been entirely underwhelmed, I wondered what the children would make of the the tiny aquatic Aqua Dragons. Don’t add any food to the tank until the day after you see the first Aqua Dragons hatching. That’s usually around 48-72 hours after setting up your tank.
